I grew up on a property in rural Queensland, the product of generations of farming families. It was a beautiful place to be (think: sprawling landscapes, big storms, beautiful sunsets). It also taught me the importance of resilience, hard work, community and sustainable growth. This connection to the land means a lot to me, and has transmutated into being conscious to preserve, while we’re innovating.
When I'm not at work, I'm completing my MD (and love it!). You might find me at a hospital near you, on ward rounds, in surgery or in clinics. Before this, I was in the UK doing neuroscience research on memory and sleep. I apply the same holistic, analytical, and ethical approach to my work with AirTree, as I would with research, or patients.
I aim to live with an abundance mindset. With this, and always aiming for reasoned optimism, I find I am able to give from an ever-full cup. I think it makes my world a bit brighter and more beautiful! Kindness, in all things.
Where possible, simplicity, practicality and efficiency are king. That’s it, that’s the point.
When I find the time, my other interests include singing, dancing, and muay thai. I also love a walk near the water, usually after I’ve been working with the view!
I believe in the power of web3. I started out in the trenches of telegram and discord, and genuinely enjoy mentorship and advising DAOs and projects. I’m in it for the tech, but also for the base ethics. If you’re building, or thinking about building, or think that I might be helpful to you - reach out! I’ll meet you wherever you’re at - email, zoom, discord, telegram, twitter, or IRC if that’s your vibe. Anons welcome, and encouraged.
